STORY:
StreamBase LiveView is an advance analytic platform that allows users to analyze, anticipate and act in real time. Traders and Sales people can find out about great sales opportunities or even receive alerts in suspicious events. It’s almost like Twitter meets Stock Market and Trading. This platform is going to help its users make smarter decisions, stay ahead of their competition and make more money while feeling safer.
CHALLENGE:
Writing a script for a B2B product is usually harder than writing for a B2C product. Now when that B2B product is for a very specific demographic within an industry, this becomes even more challenging. Grumo Media was approached by StreamBase Systems Inc to produce a demo video explaining their product. I had an initial Skype meeting with Mark Palmer and Justin Fry and we talked about the benefits of the product and the problem that it was solving and “Why” they were doing what they were doing. I realized right away that this was a complex product with some impressive algorithms behind it. I had never written a script for Grumo Media before, but after that meeting I felt that I really got what the product does. So I felt confident to write the script myself. With the help of Miguel and Dan and after a few back and forth I had an approved script that was able to explain their stories in about 60 seconds and get people excited about the product. We had a couple other revisions during the next stages but we all pulled together as a team and the final results really show that. Simplifying a complex product to a level that even grandmas get it is a challenge we face everyday at Grumo Media.
